The lintel is a piece of iron in the shape of an L that is positioned underneath the top row of bricks.

This glass door can be made for an Overlap or Inside fit. An Overlap fit would apply in instances where you may have a brick, marble or flat fireplace face. An Inside fit would apply in instances where you may have a stone fireplace, an uneven fireplace face or because you simply prefer the custom look of the inside fit.
When you "Inside Fit" a glass door, it is very important that your measurements are exact to the 1/8". We will take your measurements and build the door slightly smaller so it will fit inside the opening.

If you have a wood burning fireplace, we highly recommend a screen mesh. The screen mesh sits behind the glass doors and allows you to safely burn the fire with the doors open. Available as a curtain or a cabinet style door.
