How should I measure the height of my fireplace?
Measure the height of your fireplace on the left side of the box and on the right side of the box. Measure a few times to ensure accuracy. Measurements should be taken to within 1/16 of an inch. If you like, you may view our "How to Measure for Stock Fireplace Doors" video, located on the right side of the page, for step-by-step instructions.
My fireplace measurements aren't consistent. How should I enter the measurements in the configurator?
Sometimes a fireplace width can differ from one side of the box to the other (higher at left, lower at right, etc.). If this is the case, please enter the most narrow measurements into the configurator.
How do I enter my measurements into the configurator? Using the drop-down boxes, please select the measurement of the height of your fireplace. Remember to include measurements to 1/16 of an inch! When you have entered both the width and height measurements, click the green button titled "Click to find matching door size". The configurator will do the rest of the work for you!
What type of door will the configurator choose for me?
As you complete your glass door order, you'll have plenty of chances to customize your door's appearance. The configurator simply chooses the right size model for your fireplace. If you are purchasing a custom fireplace door, the configurator automatically calculates a price.
I am looking at purchasing a stock door, and it seems that one door model will fit a number of different fireplace opening sizes. Is that correct?
That is correct. Stock doors overlap the opening and therefore will fit a range of sizes. You can get more info regarding each door model and the range of sizes it fits in the "Sizing Guide" link on the right hand side of the page.
Is the fireplace door adjustable?
No, the fireplace door is not adjustable. However, It does fit a range of sizes because it overlaps the opening - please see above question and answer for more details.
