For a natural, rustic look add ceramic gas logs to your fire pit. These logs are designed with detail to replicate actual logs and are made of a ceramic fiber with a metal reinforcement to handle high heat temperatures. These logs come in vented and ventless depending on what type of fire pit you are creating. You can also use a log system that includes a burner and is certified for outdoor use because of the high heat output and stainless steel design.
Vented gas logs offer an extremely realistic flame pattern that looks like a real wood fire and has a much taller flame. When using these logs you do not need to use a carbon monoxide detector, when used in the home. If you add vented logs to your outdoor fireplace you must have a chimney. Compared to ventless logs these vented logs produce less heat and use slightly more gas.
Ventless gas logs Vent are designed for maximum efficiency and are easily installed to existing outdoor fireplaces. All vent free log sets require sufficient combustion air and should be located to areas spacious enough as not to become too warm or moisture will build up and you may have a gassy smell in an enclosed area. By using ventless logs you will have a high heat output, create less pollution and use less gas compared to vented logs. Ventless logs have an oxygen depletion sensor/system because of the gas and heat output. There are a lot of precautions you must take when choosing to use ventless logs like using a carbon monoxide detector, when used in the home.
There is an abundance of colors and sizes of fire glass and there is even reflective and accent glass to meet your needs. All fire glass is made from color-infused, tempered glass and is tumbled so there are no sharp edges making them safe to touch. This glass will never discolor, burn, melt, emit toxic fumes nor will it create soot, ash or smoke, unlike traditional logs and lava rocks. We offer Small 1/4", Medium 1/2", Large 1-2", accent glass, reflective glass, and smooth in a variety of colors.
Fire glass can be used in a non-vented or vented fireplace and outdoor fire pits. You can use our fire glass indoors in vent-free fireplaces, but only when using vent-free approved burner system.
When fire glass is used in a vented fireplace or outdoor fire pit it generates more heat than ceramic logs. The glass also uses less gas, making it energy efficient! Depending of the type of burner and gas you use determines how many BTUs will be emitted, but the glass will radiate 3-4 times more heat with its reflective surface than wood or artificial logs.
Types of Fire Glass:
- Accent fire glass: This fire glass will add an extra burst of color compared to our regular fire glass. This glass is recommended to be added on top of the regular glass to create a dynamic look. Mix and match colors to create your own design and add your personal flair to your outdoor decor or indoor fireplace. This glass is made from the highest quality of glass. It is created by melting color-infused, non-tempered glass into large bricks and non-uniform pieces are chipped off using a grinder. Those pieces are then tumbled to remove the sharp edges making them safe to touch.
- Reflective fire glass: This fire glass will amplify the intensity of the color, creating a more vibrant and mesmerizing flame. This glass has a mirror like finish that reflects natural sunlight during the day and the flicker of flames at night. This glass is made of 1/4" glass, is tumbled and then the mirror like finish is added in the end.
- Smooth fire glass: Smooth fire glass resembles marbles or jelly beans. This glass is made of smaller and irregularly sized glass pieces with polished edges. The colors are reasonably consistent with a fairly translucent finish to them.
