Review

I love my fire starter, have used it multiply times. I also gave one to my nephew this past Christmas. And one to his father several years ago, another Christmas gift. Will have to order a new ball and stem as I accidentally left mine in my fireplace, although still useable it isn't very pretty.

Suggestions for the perfect pot

This is solid construction if a bit too small; feet should stick out further to provide a wider more stable base. Underside of lid has three small protruding dots equally spaced intended to stabilize the lid to stay on and within the pot rim. These protrusions are too small to be effective. (I always keep these fire pots inside a much larger brass pot with a broad flat base and much higher edge to prevent the pot overturning and to catch any spill of fuel.). Handle is good, shaft could be 6” longer if the pot can be made larger and more stable; soapstone is 1/2 the size of an earlier one I dropped while hot and am replacing. Look forward to more spare soapstones to be in stock. Thankyou
