blower unit for fireplace heater
This blower is very quite and heats the room. Our old heater was very loud and noisy this one is excellent. I would recommend this heater to anyone with a fireplace.
very loud for a fireplace
This works fine - but is as loud as your typical microwave when running. It's too noisy for that 'romantic fireplace' that you want in your home - tho it might be just fine for folks who need more heat and don't mind the distracting sound.
Blower Unit
The first issue I had was determining what the status of my order. I could not find any information about whether or not the item was shipped, on back-order what. The item just showed up one day and within 30 minutes the aluminum tubing was broken. I tried to stretch it to fit lenghtwise and it just came apart. One would think that the manufacturer would have a more solid and longer connection for the asking price. Anyhow I connected the pieces together and was disappointed. After working with the blower For a few weeks, I was finally able to get it to heat the house. My rating is based on my struggles to get the device working because there were no instructions, just trial and error. Still my biggest issue is with the tubing, rather cheesy.
insert
The product is ok as far as the part that goes in the fireplace would give it a a plus for quality and being sturde. the problem I have is with the blower or maybe they need to make holes small on top but can only feel the air blowing out about 2 feet maybe 2 and a half. would recommend there insert but i w ould figure out how to modify a better blower to fit to make it heat more. The cost of blower is extremely high for how poor it works.
