This easy-to-use wood burning stove is metallic black with a gray trim on the front of the clear glass door. The door is perfect for showing off the radiant flames that are warming the room that you are enjoying. All Drolet EPA certified stoves have a secondary air source. The heated air is circulated through the perforated baffle, and allows for a more complete combustion before particulates are released. This means you’ll burn less wood and help the environment! These stoves also have a low clearance to combustible materials required, allowing it more flexibility in installation location.

Please Note: The manufacturer recommends a slip connector attachment at the top of the unit for cleaning. It is suggested that the black stove pipe be removed from the stove when cleaning because creosote cannot be reached if swept into the unit.

Drolet Classic

I have found that this stove is everything as advertized, although the epa's btu rating and those in "specs" differ, for many reasons, which are confusing and the 20" log size does have to enter through a 17 inch door. The base differs from that which is shown in the picture - which is good, I prefer the model sent.

Drolet Classic

Lighting instructions say nothing about leaving the door open until the initial fire is lit and burning well, if you shut the door before the stove is hot, the fire will go out. Now I realize this is "Drolets" problem and not yours, but they should, change their write up - unless 9-11 safety rules forbid it.
