These long wooden fireplace matches are suitable for lighting either fireplace or barbecue fires. Light your fire from a safer distance with this product.
Count of 90 matches.
- Type: Matches
- Length: 11"
- Item Weight: 1 lb.
This product works fine, just remember to keep something to strike the match on. I discarded the box so the matches could be placed into a decorative container not realizing I was discarding the box which had the striker surface on it. To use the matches now I must light each match with a lighter then extend it under the wood to start my fire. No big deal, the matches work fine.
Handy matches with long length
Good length for a fireplace.
Each match last more than 3 minutes and it's very easy to use. Plus the affortable price, I highly recommend it.
Product met/exceeded my expectation
Wood Stick Matches
These matches are a great value for the money and they were delivered promptly.
great product...took a while to ship.
The matches are great, they do light nicely and the length makes it easy to be able to reach the log lighter in my fireplace. The provided striker to light the matches leaves a bit to be desired. Its a square of sandpaper 1" X 1" that has already torn and will probably get lost before the last match is lit. It cant be that expensive to put a nice large piece of sandpaper glued to the side or end of the box. Otherwise, it's a nice box of matches.
Matches work, but stick is rather too slim, making for easy breakage. Also the striker could be bigger. Next time I definitely will opt for the heavy weight premium matches.
These work fine but are thin. I would of have preferred thicker matches.
The length of the matches is great. The matches need stronger wood and not enough striking material on the tip of the match stick. Sometimes it takes 5 to 6 matches to get a fire started. Got my other matches from Plow and Hearth. They no longer carry these matches. Too bad, they worked great. They were a stronger match stick and they stroke the first time. One match to lite a fire. Maybe you could fine out who made their match sticks.
Would be nice if a striker came with the matches. Not very good.
Worst Matches Ever
I just bought a house with a fireplace in it. And was excited so I bought these matches cause they looked pretty good. Boy was I wrong. I tired to strike 10 of these matches one by one with no luck. I end up tieing all the matches together and lighting them with a lighter. If u can stick with modern time don't buy these get a lighter.
Would not buy again
These fireplace matches are awful. They break almost every time you strike them. I will search for another brand.
There was no Strike for the Matches.
Good for a fireplace. Not really necessary for a woodstove, but there's something kind of fun about using them if even a bookmatch would do the trick. .
