Excellent product. Paul G. was very helpful throughout.
Glass Fireplace Door
This is a superb glass door, including the brushed metal finish and the quality of the glass. It was easy to install. The ordering process was easy and very helpful. I would highly recommend this product from Woodland Direct.
Review of Fireplace Door
Product came exactly as ordered. I am happy with the quality and fit.
Great Set of Doors
I was very pleased with both the product, and the service from Woodland Direct. The doors were made exactly to specs and shipped to my house quickly. They were very easy to install (4 bolts) and look fantastic. The customer service rep, Ben, was efficient and informative when I placed the order by telephone. All around, I couldn't be happier with my purchase and highly recommend these doors!
Our New Fireplace
Hey we chose this one for its sharp look in an attempt to upgrade the vision of the front room. Great choice -- makes for a dramatic living room accenting the burning logs as you enter from the foyer.
Custom FP Door
Came shipped well protected, all components/parts were well labeled. Directions were clear. No missing parts. Easy install, great looking addition to the room decor. High quality! Would recommend Woodland Direct.
Overall satisfied with the doors. The instruction for installation could have been more explanitory and I think the brackets should have a way to attach to the frame better because I worry that it will slip off.
Stiletto glass doors
I bought two of these doors since I have a two-sided fireplace. Both openings are identical. They look great. The instructions for installation should be updated. You say to use a drill. That is nearly impossible. You need a hammer drill to drill through brick. Once I had a hammer drill, installation went smoothly. I also suggest you provide 5 support struts rather than 4. I have a raised opening, so just two struts are supporting the entire weight of the doors. I expect that they will hold, but I would prefer 3 struts on the bottom.
Fireplace doors look nice, now that I have them installed but the brackets that came with the doors needed a fair bit of modification to get them to work. The brackets are supposed to attach as a cylindrical slider to a c shaped groove in the back of the door frame. The brackets (male) end was crudely stamped and needed significant grinding and fitting to fit into the groove in the door frame. Would expect higher quality on a $900 set of doors.
Was not impressed with the unit especially at a cost of 1000 plus dollars. Biggest complaint is the 4 sided draft seal gasket did not allow the doors to close properly and would not stay closed. Had to use a razor knife to modify gasket so doors would close properly and magnet catches make contact to frame. In addition the 4 mounting brackets didnt slot in properly and also needed to be drilled & screwed to be secured. Once gasket was modified, the fit & finish was satisfactory.
Final fit advisor asked us to take off 1/2" We shouldn't have agreed. The door doesn't quite reach the top of the opening. Any ideas as to what to do? I mean, should we seal it somehow?
