Because the front and back of this grate are created in a non-tapered design, the See-Through Fireplace Grate - 33" is able to be set in line with other grates to serve larger fireplace openings. This fireplace grate has legs which were made to be easily attached to the frame with just a few bolts.

The grate was a perfect fit and it really is great quality. The grate had very little assembly.
Taper
The grate will last forever! We use large logs and this will hold up to big fires. I failed to select the proper taper, so it sits a little forward in the fireplace.

Review of item
Our new grate came very quickly and with free delivery. However a new gas fire lighter pipe took longer. Installed both yesterday and tested the pipe, but have not actually burned a fire in the grate yet. The grate fit fine in our see thru fireplace and was easy to put together (feet were separate). It is made of very heavy duty cast iron and I expect it to last for many years of fires. I am very satisfied with Woodland Direct.
