Metal Chimney Solid Pack
The solid pack metal chimney consists of an inner and outer liner with insulation sandwiched between. This type of chimney system is typically used for venting stand alone woodstoves. The standard cap for these chimneys doesn’t generally hold up for long, and the homeowner is faced with the need for a replacement. Our caps are constructed of stainless steel, and are designed for a tight, friction fit installation allowing the cap to slip down securely inside the chimney. Measure the inside diameter of the chimney, and then select the appropriate sized chimney cap.
Metal Chimney Air Insulated
The air cooled metal chimney consists of an inner liner with two or three exterior liners all separated by an air gap. These chimney systems are designed to allow the chimney to breathe, keeping the outer chimney cooler to protect the home during normal stove operation. These chimney systems require a special cap with venting built into the cap.
