Chemical Soot Removers

Use this dry creosote remover to change your creosote buildup into a dry, loose, non-adhering deposit, which flakes away and is more easily brushed off. Spread one scoop of the dry material over the fuel and light the fire. Apply another treatment in 3-4 days, then use one scoop weekly. 2 lb. container includes scoop.

The active mineral catalyst promotes more complete burning of wood at a lower temperature, reducing the amount of creosote formed in the chimney flue. Prior to first use, spray the fire chamber and wood liberally immediately before lighting the fire. If creosote is present in the flue, adjust the nozzle to the stream setting on the bottle and spray visible areas of the buildup. Liquid Creosote Remover will begin to work at temperatures above 265* F. For ongoing use, apply daily to a low fire just before adding wood. After treatment, build up the fire to carry creosote-destroying chemicals up the flue. Creosote Remover cannot be overused. It helps keep fire residues off glass surfaces, but do not spray the glass directly.  Check out the Material Data Sheet.
