Fits fireplaces larger than 25"wide x 18" Deep The Emberaire Fireplace Heater is versatile, as it functions efficiently with gas logs or wood. Use it while burning wood by simply laying the titanium alloy exchanger tube on your fireplace grate, in the fire. The tube is designed to withstand intense temperatures and comes with a five year warranty. When using with a gas fireplace, simply use the tube as a replacement for your back gas log. This heater can be used with most glass doors. The Emberaire Fireplace Heater pulls in the cold air from your room, circulates it through the fireplace where it is heated, and then blows it back into your room. The system is competely enclosed so no smoke from your fireplace will be blown into your room. Make your home more energy efficient by adding the Emberaire heater to your fireplace. How To Order: Measure fireplace depth and width in back to determine which model best suits your needs. Heater dimensions need only be less than fireplace dimensions. All units come with a front grill 1 3/8" high and includes a 42" black vent bar that can be cut to size. Glass door will sit on top of front rail and will be elevated 1 3/8". If your door is an inside fit you must have 1" extra depth to accomodate the depth of the heater.

We've wanted to purchase something that would help heat our room using the fireplace. Were skeptical about different products, didn't know if fan was too loud or if it even worked, then went to a friends house that had emberaire and WOW! Room was huge and was markedly warmer than the rest of the house. The fan was not too loud and the price is right, so we purchased it. The result is great! A bit tricky to get in place so be patient - it definitely works.

The unit works extremely and keeps the house warmer, we are pleased with it. We had to make modifications to get it to fit in our fireplace but after that no problems.

Review of fireplace heater
I have imagined for some time that there must be a product that would simply use the flame of my fireplace's gas log to heat a tube and blow the heated air back into the room. I have finally found it in the Emberaire. I installed it myself, so it cannot be very complicated. Following instructions, I moved the fireplace glass door frame up to place the 1 1/2" metal grill under it. The latter contains the grils for intake and outflow. I adapted the flexible metal tubing to lay directly over the flames and connect back to the electric fan housing. Then replacing the fireplace logs over the tubing, I had just what was promised. The fan pushes the heated air back into the room, and I have a way to heat my living room in a simple and lo-tech way. The unit functions just like it is designed to. Thank you!

A great product!
In California, ventless gas file fireplaces are prohibited. A vented gas fireplace looks reasonable, but produces zero perceptible room heat. I did a web search for alternatives and came across Woodland Direct. Unfortunately, the construction of my firebox severely limited my options. The firebox of my gas log fireplace is recessed 3" and 3"below floor level. Of all the fireplace heaters sold by Woodland Direct, the only one that looked like it would (could) work was the "Emberaire Wood and Gas Log Fireplace Heater", which I ordered. My plan was to mount it with the tube facing down to compensate for the position of the firebox. Unfortunately, that idea didn't work so I decided to return the heater and abandon any hope of using my fireplace for anything but decoration. While waiting for a response to my RMA request, it occurred to me that, if I flipped the fan and vent boxes over, the vents and power switch would be at a workable height. Sure enough, it was a perfect fit. I fired it up and within a minute or two I could feel heat being forced into my family room. The entire 15 'x 25' room was comfortably warm in 15 minutes. Bottom line, it is a great product... versatile as far as the installation options go, and cranks out a lot of heat in a short period of time. I like it so much that I've decided to buy another one for a second fireplace. Product: Emberaire Wood and Gas Log Fireplace Grate Heater - Large Rating: 5 out of 5 Positive: Good price, versatile installation options, a lot of heat in a short period of time. Negative: Tube color - would prefer flat black.

What a difference sitting in front of a fire. I should have bought one of these long ago. Excellent product. I used more self tapping screws to hold everything together and that has made the blower much more stable. A hint on installation use self tapping screws to hold boot housings to vent bar, and vent bar to the bottom of your existing fire screen or door. I also have the exchanger tube running behind the grate so as to still build a nice fire. Much more heat in the family room now
