Heat produced by wood or gas stoves can effectively heat your home. A stand alone wood stove heats the area around it through natural conduction. This is the same principle used by most ovens. While conduction works well in a small enclosed area it lacks speed and efficiency when heating a larger space.
Some newer wood stoves use a powered fan or blower unit to force air movement over the stove. This changes the heat transfer of the stove to powered convection. Convection forces hot air into the room increasing the speed of heat transfer and the efficiency of the wood stove.
Use one of our wood stove fans or one of our gas stove fans to convert your conduction based stove to a more efficient convection stove. We offer powered blower units like the ‘Magic Heat Reclaimer’ as well as electricity free ‘Ecofans’.
