Masonry Fireplace System Installation Kit
This installation kit shipped before the fireplace itself, which was not a problem except I was not notified the parts were being shipped separately. I purchased this kit mainly for the damper that was listed on the web site. When the kit arrived, there was no damper. When I called I was told the damper was not part of the outdoor fireplace kit and I was not due a refund. Without the damper this kit is way overpriced. That said, there was plenty of mortar and fire brick to finish the whole project. I rate this kit a three out of five because I didn't get the damper as advertised and no break in the price of the kit to compensate for it.
Fire rock mortar
The stuff was different than any mortar we had ever used. I am sure it does a great job but don't get it on anything you don't want black!

Good, sticky stuff. One bag was open on delivery and some had spilled out. I had enough to finish the fireplace, though.
