FAQs

Q: Can I install this firebox in a home with an attached covered outdoor screened in patio with a flat roof? A: This could be used in that situation, though it is not made for outdoor use which may cause deterioration of the blower unit and firebox. It would also still need to be properly vented up through the roof. We do offer wood burning fireplace insert for outdoors, but they do not have the air circulating function.
Q: What size firewood can you burn in this fireplace and what about the 36 inch size fireplace? A: This fireplace and the 36" can both accept log sizes of 24" and up to the width of the fire box as desired.
Q: Can the bi-fold doors be ordered after completion of the project or do they need to be ordered with the fireplace? A: The doors for the fireplace can be ordered at any time. The installation of them is very simple.
Q: What kind of flue does it have and what mechanism opens and closes the flue? A: It requires an SK8 chimney pipe. There is no included damper with this unit.
Q: Does this model have a blower? A: The heat circulating model has an option to add a blower, but it is not included.
Q: Is this a zero clearance fireplace? A: Yes, this is a zero clearance fireplace.

Product Reviews

Impressively designed

My friend has an older version of this fireplace. We were impressed with the heat output. He noted several improvements the company had made on our new model and was impressed as well. The dimensions are exactly as described so it fit just as expected.
