Outdoor fireplace
This kit went together nicely. All the pieces were included in the shipment and in good order when received. The directions were clear and easy to follow and the kit went together easy enough. The only drawback I found was some slack between the pieces that had to be mortared closed. Whether it was a difference in the molds or designed into the system, I was left with a slight overhang on the back side, which I covered with veneer. Overall a rating of four out of five for ease of installation and concise instructions.
Fire rock mortar
The stuff was different than any mortar we had ever used. I am sure it does a great job but don't get it on anything you don't want black!

Good, sticky stuff. One bag was open on delivery and some had spilled out. I had enough to finish the fireplace, though.
