Product Details

Bring the warmth and traditional style of the FireRock Wood Burning Outdoor Fireplace - 36" to your home. This prefab, modular system fits together to create an all-masonry fireplace that can withstand pressure up to 3,000 PSI. Complete with our patented 1-piece chimney system, FireRock provides a superior masonry fireplace solution that is easy to install, high performing, safe and affordable.

From foundation to framing, the FireRock Wood Burning Outdoor Fireplace - 36" has been designed for efficiency and performance. This fireplace system does require a chimney. You can choose from a masonry chimney (see below) or a DuraChimney System. The entire firebox can be completed in a matter of hours, as opposed to a 2-3 week scratch-built project. The masonry flue system from FireRock is a 1-piece system with a 15” inner diameter, improving smoke draw and making construction easy.

Please Note: Approximately 10-12 bags of mortar are needed for proper installation, pending size of the firebox. The appropriate amount of mortar is included in the Installation Kit. For every 6 chimney blocks, an additional bag of mortar is required (purchased separately). Up to 60’ of chimney can be supported with this fireplace kit.

Q: Can the height of the chimney be extended? A: Both the chimney and fire box can have their heights extended.
Q: How many extensions can I install on the 36 inch fireplace? A: You can install as many extensions as you need. What you need to be concerned of is the additional weight added to the fireplace when this is done. Be sure that your fireplace foundation can handle it.
Q: Can a finish stone such as tile, stone, slate or brick be directly adhered to cinderblock? A: Yes, you can adhere finishing material directly to the concrete of the fireplace, as long as the finishing material is completely non-combustible.

fire brick mortar

we received lots of setting bed Mordor for the fire brick but we were shorted on the fire bricks short on the fire brick joint Mortar. Christian has sent us another bag but you may want to review brick quantity versus joint Mortar quantity. the products as a unit went together very well and we are pleased.

This is a must have. It has everything you need, and makes it easy, with no guess work.

Fire rock mortar

The stuff was different than any mortar we had ever used. I am sure it does a great job but don't get it on anything you don't want black!

36" fireplace

Easy to assemble. Thanks! One piece of the smoke chamber were so small that a large gap was formed on assembly. Using shims and repeated layers of Firerock mortar I was able to fill the gap completely. Two of the smoke chamber pieces has large "hollow" places in the body of the piece. I "speckled" those places with Firerock mortar. One chimney piece was poorly molded, (odd margin on top) but I was able to jam it into place. Otherwise ... nice product, people!

Firerock Mortar

Good, sticky stuff. One bag was open on delivery and some had spilled out. I had enough to finish the fireplace, though.

It went together pretty well. Wish I had listened to the directions and not tried to do it myself. the only thing I wish had come with it, was a better instruction of what all needs done and more specific directions. Other than that, I really like it so far.

Outdoor Fireplace

Definitely a 5! Thank you for your quick response in replacing the damaged pieces that occurred during the shipping mishap. Your product looks far superior (both in quality and engineering) than anything else that I have seen on the market. The truck driver was phenomenal in getting the product right to the project site I am really looking forward to completing this project.

Great Setup

Comes with everything you need. Assembles easily. Has plenty of mortar and bricks even for a herringbone pattern. Shipped well packaged and undamaged. Great start for an outdoor fireplace.
