Q: Is it available in a rectangular shape? A: We can customize this fire pit to most any shape that you request. Please contact our Technical Sales Department for a request for a quote.
Q: Where is the propane tank stored? Is it external or inside the pit? A: The propane is not stored within the fire pit on this unit.
Q: Do they sell covers to hide/disguise the propane tank? A: We do have some covers for hiding the tank in our "tank enclosures" section. http://www.woodlanddirect.com/Outdoor/Propane-Tank-Enclosures Please note that the tank is not included.
Q: So the propane tank is hidden inside? It is an internal tank vs an external ? A: Yes, the tank would be hidden inside. However, please note that the tank is not included.
Q: Does it ship with a hose to the external tank? A: The hose and regulator are not included with this unit.
Q: What size propane tank is needed? A: This fire pit uses a standard 20 lb propane tank.
Q: Does the "aging" process cause stains on surrounding surfaces? A: The rust patina can cause a rust outline of the base to appear on concrete or patios after getting wet. That is avoidable by placing a fire resistant outdoor rug underneath it if desired.
Q: Is the fireglass included with this package or is that additional? A: The fireglass is not included with this fire pit. It is an add on accessory on the item page.
Q: How does this model drain? A: There are drain holes located at the bottom of the burning area.

just right

the medium actually were smaller than I expected but work well combined with the larger size lava rocks. i mixed them in my gas log fireplace and they radiate even more heat and enhance the flames making a very realistic looking ....almost could pass for wood...fireplace.

Fire Glass

The fire glass is beautiful. The glass was on sale so it was a great value. When I turn on the fire pit at night, the fire glass glows and looks great. Delivery was quick so I was very happy with the purchase.

Lava Rock

The basic lava rock that comes with the gas logs is very lame. The 3rd party lava rock was excellent. I would advise recommending the lava rock from American Glass in addition to what the log company sends. The 5lbs is not enough.

Just what we wanted

Great people to deal with. Ordered by calling CS and placing my order. Everything is just as I was told. Firepit is a very good size and works very well. The oxidation is almost done and the color is now just great.
