Different than many other grates, an ember grate is designed to hold embers closer to the fire and force only ashes to fall below. This permits less ash to build up and more fire to produce, enhancing your romantic evening by the fire. The simple design of this fireplace accessory allows it to accommodate any decor in your home.

It looks GREAT. However it was 94 degrees today so I haven't used it yet.
I am amazed at the difference in how my fires burn with is grate. Especially after I got it right side up! Am sure Customer Service is still laughing about that one! Seriously though, this is a very substantial grate that I expect will last me many years.
This product is exactly as described and was shipped/received very quickly. Very happy!
This is a great grate. Heavy duty and 6" off the ground for better combustion. Called Woodland to confirm the measurements and whoever answered the phone (Danny ?) was most helpful. You may pay a little more but you'll get a better product.
Excellent quality - Just what I wanted!
Good so far
We've only used once, wood wasn't season as well as we would have liked. The ability of the grade to hold the embers was very helpful. We also like the fact that the grate is tall enough for a gas log lighter to fit underneath.
I live this fire grate. It is the perfect size for my fireplace, sturdy and keeps the logs secure.
Had to return as the depth of the grate was one inch too large.
the grate is very good - BUT it does seem a bit high for starting a fire is difficult especially with my 'cape cod lighter' - with my old anirons Where the 'legs' extended to the back of the fireplace with the logs resting across & on, there was not a problem NOW THERE IS --
The grate is so well made! Very strong and durable. But....it's so tall - We used measurements of width & depth. I'm guessing the height is standard? Anyway, we're looking at having the legs cut off to make the grate shorter so the fire won't be so high.
Hi the unit is larger from front to back that advertised
its to BIG.... I love it but need a smaller ONE.
