Fireplace Grate
We are very satisfied with our 25" Oxford grate. The quality and workmanship exceeded our expectations. It fit perfect in our fireplace and it makes a bold statement just looking at it. I will be a future customer and the grate we use it every night.
The Details are Everything
This Grate feels sturdy, and so far, it has done the job, however: 1.) The Specs say that it does not have a center leg - it Does. 2.) The legs were not of equal length and the Grate wobbles. 3.) The Specs say it weighs 27 pounds, which would justify the price. Actual weight is 14 pounds.
Fireplace Grate Purchase
Very happy with my purchase of the fireplace grate I got from woodland direct. I called to get info. About size and the young man was helpful and the service was good.
Perfect Size
We are very pleased with our new fireplace grate. It fits our zero clearance fireplace perfectly - i.e. it's not too high. But, for that big log that won't quite finish burning, it's high enough to stick some small pieces onto the coals underneath which then ignite and keep the big log burning. It also holds all the wood in well. We also like the 1/2 inch size - it's less noticeable, looks nice, and has held up well so far for the short time we've had it - about 6 weeks with a fire almost every night.
