FAQs

Q: Can this be used with my cordless drill? A: The fittings that allow you to attach brushes like this to an extension rod are threaded. If you attach this to a drill and you run the drill in the wrong direction, you could unwind a connection point and end up having to use retrieval tools to remove your brush from your chimney. Some folks use drill motors with these brushes, but we don't recommend it. You should be able to adequately clean your chimney without having to attach this brush to a drill.
Q: Poly vs. steel? Is it just one will last longer? A: Poly brushes are designed for cleaning metal pipes. Steel brushes are designed primarily for cleaning clay flue tiles. A steel brush can scratch the inside of the pipe slightly weakening it and making it more likely for creosote to build up.

Round chimney brush

This round poly chimney bursh was used in my prefab metal fireplace. It is an exellent product and the price was right. I also purchased 3 four foot rods and 1 three foot rod and the quality of the rods is excellent. The Woodlanddirect web site was easy to navigate, the descriptions of the products is excellent and processing of my order was timely.

This brush has worked great for us and seems to have been reasonable priced.

10" round poly chimney brush

Nice sturdy brush. A little stiffer than I'd have liked but appears to be well made and should last a long time.

Chimney Brush & rods

Got this poly brush with the fiberglass extension rods. They worked well, easy to assemble and use. The brush is rigid enough to give the inside of the chimney a pretty good scrubbing. I am totally satisfied, with the product as well as the shipping/service.

Great Products at Woodland Direct

Excellent customer service and great products. I received precise help determining the items I needed. My order arrived on time and the brush, rods and creosote product worked just as I had hoped. The prices were competitive, but the customer service is what sold me. I will shop here again.
