Will this fit my fireplace?
While the screen itself is nice, it obviously wasn't made for a fireplace in a 120 year-old house. There was a great deal of difficulty making it work. It still is not completed. Perhaps the age of the house is something you should consider in both the instructions for assembly and in design. And, something to mention in your advertising/explanation of your screens. Just a thought.

Easy to install
These doors look great on my fireplace. They are very sturdy. Installation was very easy. The directions make it sound harder than it actually is. It took at most 30 minutes. It does require two people-you need the second person to hold them steady as you attach them. I ended up laying on my back halfway into the fireplace so I could visualize how the attachment worked.

Fireplace doors and tools

Ardmore Black Firerplace Door
I could not be any happier with the my experience. From the time we placed the order with the email notifications to receiving a phone call from the technician to verify that we had ordered the correct size and door, prior to finalizing the order. When I received the door the packaging was superb, the door was protected in foam padding and the box was banded multiple times. As for the product, it fits and looks perfect. Very easy to install. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a Fireplace Door.

What an easy installation for the elegant result I have in my den!! Nathan was so very helpful. I needed guidance beyond what I could find on the website…Nathan helped me with every step! Perfect addition to my fireplace.
Woodland Direct was very helpful and thorough with my order to make sure everything fit. The door shipped quickly and was packed extremely well. It's great quality, very sturdy and looks amazing. The only issue was the threading for a screw on one of the handles was too far in to catch the screw, but I was able to fix it with a longer screw from the hardware store. Overall very happy with this purchase! This door stopped the cold draft on my fireplace. 5 Stars, thank you!

Looks great, function largely ok
Really like it, hence 4 stars, but deducted for 2 things: even though it fits my fireplace max (30"), there is 'daylight' where the fireplace mortar is not flush with the brick so I will need to seal it somehow. The width is 1/4" wider than the 30" width max so not a lot of wiggle room there. I also find that the door handles for the screens get very hot, I plan on trying to find a material to cover them to protect my fingers. Otherwise looks and functions great.

We just purchased our 5th set of Ardmore Black Fireplace Doors with accessories (grates, tools, racks, etc.)! Not as a replacement but for our daughter’s new home! Five+ years ago we purchased, from Woodland Direct, 3 sets for our home and 1 set for our weekend home. Everything has held up beautifully. The staff (human - remember them?!) was SO helpful and easily accessible. The product quality is superb. Excited and Happy, then a let down...
My wife and I were very excited when our new fireplace door arrived. We unwrapped it and were very happy with how it looked. However, during the installation we had trouble keeping the door fixed within the fireplace opening because of the very cheap and poorly designed clips that hold the door frame in place. We were able to get the door to stay in place just long enough to get a fire going. The next morning I see the top of the door frame leaning away from the fireplace because the 2 clips slipped off the metal angle iron ledge that hold the brick up. It was very frustrating having to re-attach the clips as they are very cheap and poorly designed. Beware...

Love our new fireplace doors
The Ardmore Black Fireplace Door is an attractive addition to our hearth. I like the fit and finish of the glass doors, screen panels and frame. As a first time installation project for me, I needed assistance from customer service to understand how to fit the doors on my fireplace. Fortunately the issue was fairly easy to address. I was able to complete the installation with a simple tweak. I'm glad have the new doors and look forward to using them.
