We purchased and installed Real Fyre American Oak Vented Fireplace set, and are very, very pleased. We did not get the remote, and admit the knob does get hot and sometimes use an oven mitt to turn it off. But we are used to it since we had the same thing in our previous home. We also purchased the Slimline doors in nickel, since the doors are necessary with a vented set. Overall, our fireplace adds so much ambience to our living room, and we just are mad at ourselves waiting so long to install this!

Split Oak Designer Plus ANSI Vented Gas Log Set

My wife and I bought our house here in North Texas two years ago and kept putting off setting up the gas fireplace setup. Finally, we ordered the Split Oak Designer Plus gas log set with the remote control and had it professionally installed. On the first night having it installed, we put the kids to bed and then turned on the fireplace. My wife and I sat around the fireplace talking for 45 minutes to an hour. It felt like we were transported to a resort! So relaxing! This gas log fireplace has been great for our marriage by creating another space to relax and enjoy spending time together. Misinformed Sales Agent

The logs are exactly as I requested. My problem is with the sales agent who did not know his product knowledge, so I did not receive the burner I thought. When I called him to follow up he studdered an answer and told me he would get back to me....still waiting for a month. They look great just don't have a feature I requested.

Easy install

I have now installed THREE of these logs (each one a different size based on space). Very Easy to install. I highly recommend getting the click starter. Friends of mine have the match starter and are amazed at how convenient it is when they come over. THE ONLY issue I have is that there is no option to move the gas insert on the log set. It comes only on the right side and ALL three fireplaces I have used to set up the gas have the source on left side. Therefore you have to buy an extension at home depot and adapters which is simple enough but still a PAIN. But once that is done, it really is simple. I have had two of them for 6 years now (replaced the batteries only once so far) and just installed one for my mother at her home. We love the look and if I remember will try to upload a photo

PERFECT

Consulting with your expert worked out perfectly. I gave him the size of my fireplace, told him what I wanted and that all I wanted to have done was connect it to the gas line. This was done the rest was easily assembled and I have exactly what I wanted. A beautiful set up that will be enjoyed during some cool winter evenings !!! Our original fire log arrived damaged by the shipper, and Woodland Direct made getting a replacement quick and easy. We're very happy with our new fire log. Beautiful glow

The propane gas logs were straight forward to install and look great. They barely fit my fireplace, but I like that. Only negative is pilot location is too far from gas flow, so it is slow to light, so it always ignites with a large billow of flame.
