Custom Ordered Fireplace Glass Door
I found this company that would custom make my fireplace glass door on line. I was grateful that they were willing to trust my measurements over the phone. As I had just had my masonry brick fireplace resurfaced. So the opening had changed from a basic standard opening to an odd size opening. I gave the measurements to a gentleman over the phone. I will be honest, I was concerned that perhaps the door would not fit once made and sent to me. It did take a few weeks to be made, which is understandable, being that it's close to the winter holidays and we are still experiencing delays due to COVID. Well, to my surprise the door arrived, we installed it and it fit perfectly! I am very pleased and it looks beautiful and completes my fireplace resurfacing to a T!!! Some disappointment with these doors and with customer service too
You can only submit one photo so I split the pic to show both issues. The finish looks nice until you open the doors. In the top half of my pic you’ll see the ends of the doors, where it folds open, aren’t finished. So no matter which color finish you choose you’ll have raw silver edges showing whenever the fireplace is in use. It cheapens the whole look. Not to mention the very sharp/rough burrs on those raw silver edges. In the lower half of the pic you can see where the finish is worn off where the magnetic closure touches the inner frame. It’s on the lower inner frame as well. Also cheapens the look. And that’s the way it looked right out of the box, I can only imagine how much worse it’ll get the more time it’s opened and closed. I wouldn’t expect this outcome from custom ordered doors costing over $800. I have to say customer service was great throughout the ordering process but as soon as I emailed them about these issues ( more than once ) I’ve had no response from them what so ever, another disappointment. I guess once they have your money they don’t care how happy you are with their product. I will gladly update my review if I ever hear from their customer service team and they address my issues.

Update to my Jan.5th review
Just wanted to update my review from Jan. 5th, 2023. I heard back from customer service. They apologized for the extensive delay in responding. The manufacturer was closed for 2 weeks so it required additional time to follow-up on my issues. I’m happy with the resolution and attention I received now and would change my rating to 5 stars.
