Not User Friendly Door Installation
This is a nice door, and that’s where the niceness stops. The installation and instructions is where this door falls off the tracks. The written instructions with The poor pictorials leave much to be desired. The instructions don’t make sense and following them just makes an awkward job even more difficult. By the way, what are you supposed to do with the insulation provided and where is that in the instructions? The bottom- line….I worked hard to install this door and when so was done it was not balanced. The instructions to get the doors to line up and function properly don’t work. I tried everything snd I now have a door that I cannot even look at because I am a person that likes things straight/even/symmetrical. This door as nice as it may be when it srrives will never be right after it is installed. Did you ever think of putting sonr videos online to help out? Because your written instructions don’t get the job done. Nice door that I am very frustrated and unhappy with upon installation. Recommend you go to your local Fireplace Shop to purchase fireplace doors where you will get help working thru installation. Woodland Direct sells you yhff Ed door and then leaves you hanging (pun intended). What good is s nice foot if it looks like crap after it is installed? And no, I N am not a rookie at this type of work. I have been doing projects of this nature for over (40) years.

Piccolo door
Woodland’s role in the experience was wonderful. The door fit perfectly until I put it in the mesh screen, and then I had to finagle a little bit to make it fit. After closing the doors, they weren’t quite adjusted correctly, but the instructions included do not match the connection points on the door, I sent an email to the hearthcraft people, but have yet to receive a reply.
