Latch Defect

I would love this screen but for one significant defect, the doors latch from the bottom and don't catch correctly. Instead of latching in the middle or the top, it is poorly constructed at the bottom and does not catch to close unless you apply extra pressure DIRECTLY at the latch. Last night the door actually popped open, an ember sparked out of the fireplace and burned my new rug. So my $229 screen may end up costing me $2,000 for a new rug! Please fix the poor latch construction........................
