very good grate
Self-feeding grate
This is the same grate I purchased for my main floor fireplace, I've had it for about three years, and it works well. However this purchase was poor in all respects. The grate was thrown in an unpadded box and shipped. It had broken through in multiple places before it got to me. Not sure how many people's packages suffered traveling with this grate. The quality of this grate was also not as good as the first one.The edges were quite rough. Having said that it is a fireplace grate and no one will ever look closely at it again so I did not return it as I expect it will do it's job just fine.

Very pleased with the product, service and the website!!! Could not be happier, as a matter fact I am enjoying it right now !!
Great Grate!
I just moved to the mountains, and our fireplace grate was in very bad shape. I bought this one, and I've been using it for a little over a week now and I LOVE it. It's shape makes for a great coal bed on the bottom, which of course makes for a GREAT fire. Thanks so much, Woodland, we love it!!!

Love Self Feed
Excellent Grate
We have a pretty small fireplace in a 1925 house and this fireplace grate fits perfectly. It is unobtrusive does not block the view of the fire.
Nice product
Well made product...no need to tend to a fire as much...sit back and relax and enjoy!
Shipping crate
The cardboard box was oversized and allowed the grate to shift and puncture side and end of box. The grate was not damaged, but items lying adjacent to it could have been damaged.

Delivery was very prompt. I ordered on Monday and was delivered Wednesday. This is the third Vestal 23.75" Self-Feeding Grate I have ordered. I burn all winter in a fireplace insert and the grate melts in the middle, but it fits in my limited space. Any suggestion you may have for another grate that might last longer would be appreciated.

Thank you for such fast service we have had 4 fires now and the grate works perfectly the way it was described.
Fireplace Grate
This is how it should be, very durable, well constructed, this one will last for years. Prompt shipping excellent web shopping experience.
Amazing
I was a little skeptical about this grate to start with, but decided the idea sounded intriguing enough to try it out. It's the most amazing grate I've ever used. I bought a set of tools to go with it, but barely even need them because the grate design is so superb that the fire is (other than adding more wood) completely self sustaining. My whole family was so impressed that others purchased these for their homes as well. I even bought one for my other fireplace. I couldn't recommend this more.

This is the second grate I have ordered the last one lasted 2 years the middle burning off but I do like the shape so I bought another one the same.

Perfect Gift
I could not be happier with the product. They love it.
Excellent Fireplace Grate
This grate is amazing. It is made from heavy gauge wrought iron and is one solid piece. The firs time I used it, I could see the beautiful bed of coals that it created and how efficiently my fire burned. I love this grate!

Excellent fireplace grate. Well made. Holds a good amount of firewood and helps to keep it in place while it is burning. Very pleased with this purchase.

Solid, Long-lasting Fireplace Grate
This is heavy, solid, cast-iron fireplace grate. This is the 2nd one we've bought here. The first one finally started to breakdown from many years of frequent use. We have a lot of fires in our fireplace in the winter. Three to six fires every week from November through March. On the weekends we have all day and evening fires. So the grate is sitting in the super hot embers a lot of that time. I think we got at least 5 years, maybe 7 years, out of the last one. Bought another one and breaking it in now.
