lion grill

So happy with this product. Well made, heavy duty, looks great and performs flawlessly. Upon receipt, I was missing the mounting bracket for the rotissorie. Made a call and was promptly shipped out. Good company, good product. Would do it again!

Shipping

Folks, The product is excellent but your shipping process needs some serious attention. Living in a gated condo with limited access to the patio where this was to be installed I was in no way prepared to have a pallet left in a communal parking lot with a box weighing over 250 lbs. I had to beg the shipper to take the pallet and after bribing him was able to get him to help me muscle it inside. I suppose I could have read the specs to know but what average person upgrading to one of your grills would anticipate this weight and have a work crew ready to haul it in. Did I mention that the shipper wanted to leave it in a commercial parking lot 150 yards away? Very uncool.

Quality Equipment

My design company installed this for a client. The client has raved about the quality of the product and the standard features that come with this unit. My client really appreciated that the manufacturer understood that it is necessary to break down the grill from time to time to clean it, thus extending the life of the product. The manufacturer designed the grill to make this a simple process and used high grade material as well. We had a small issue with an ignitor and called Lion direct. A REAL PERSON promptly answered the phone and was able to provide assistance on a Friday evening! I would certainly consider this product for myself or future clients.

great product.....we have used it for two months and have great results.....about ready to try smoking meats......weather permitting, of course........recommend this product and Woodland Direct was very helpful when choosing a product.we could incorporate into our backyard design.

A really great grill.

We received our grill, the boxes were in great shape and tightly secured to the wooden pallet. No complaints on the shipping. The grill went together well, but the instructions are extremely minimal. Lion, as a Premium Manufacture, should certainly make a more reasonable effort here. A one page exploded view of the grill parts on the back of the parts list is not an instruction manual. That being said, it did go together fairly easy and took about one hour. The instructions with the searing burner were markedly better, making you wonder what happened to the assembly instructions. Quality is very good, all the parts fit together well and the grill feels very tight and well constructed. We have used the grill 8-9 times, from fish, and steaks to pancakes and the performance is absolutely excellent. The igniters work well and the grill heats up quickly. Adjusting the control knobs to "medium" promptly delivers 450 degrees. Lower temperatures are easily achieved too. The grill crates are fairly heavy duty and the griddle works well although the slant in the middle made the pancakes difficult. Have not tried the rotisserie and probably won't for a while but that's just a different cooking style. Again, the components appear very well made. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the grill and its performance. Nicely done Lion. (work on those assembly instructions)

Very happy, satisfied, impressed about the packaging, so far. Will see when we get to use it and a total inspection will be performed. So far so good!

Cart is small and average construction. Cover is too small. Love the grill. I did natural gas and it's incredible.

Support

We just had our new grill installed and have not used it. But everything works, it is beautiful and heavy duty. Most important for us at this time was the wonderful and immediate customer support. Thank you Woodland!! Leaving for the summer. Will report on how well it works next fall!
