The Pennsylvania Firebacks Small Clipper Ship Fireback is a beautifully crafted fireback that tells a story of its own. A fast American clipper ship returning to port, guided to its harbor by seagulls that fly close to the choppy waves. This fireback will enhance your cozy nights as the flames dance across this beautifully depicted image. Firebacks are shipped with a water base black paint to prevent rust build up during transit. To give a brighter finish to the fireback and to protect the casting from rust after use with a fire, an application of water base graphite stove polish is recommended. Applied with a toothbrush or rag, this paste, when dry, can be polished with a wire brush or rag giving the fireback an attractive silverfish sheen.

The Pennsylvania Firebacks Small Clipper Ship Fireback is constructed of cast iron and is meant to be placed behind your fire. Reclaiming heat that you’d otherwise lose, this fireback will absorb heat during burning and then radiate it into the room.
