The Pennsylvania Firebacks Tall Oak Fireback was originally created to complete the series of sizes offered in their line of oak-themed firebacks. Though this fireback is sure to stand out with the beautiful picture it portrays. From the tree being the focal point to the detail in the deer, clouds, birds and grass; it’s sure to enhance your fires as the flames dance across this beautifully depicted image. Firebacks are shipped with a water base black paint to prevent rust build up during transit. To give a brighter finish to the fireback and to protect the casting from rust after use with a fire, an application of water base graphite stove polish is recommended. Applied with a toothbrush or rag, this paste, when dry, can be polished with a wire brush or rag giving the fireback an attractive silverfish sheen.
The Pennsylvania Firebacks Tall Oak Fireback is constructed of cast iron and is meant to be placed behind your fire. Reclaiming heat that you’d otherwise lose, this fireback will absorb heat during burning and then radiate it into the room. Even after the fire is out, heat will continue to move throughout the room making it a very efficient addition to your home!
