Great stove and does what it claims. Real performer!
very pleased with this company. customer service was great. recieved product delivered to the door 4 days early. keep up the nice work, thanks.
the legs a razor sharp the leveling feet were not included the welds are good
not a bad stove the brick on the bottom [below the door] didn't fit, I had to file a groove [2 bricks] , because of a weld that sticks out side to side there is a gap of almost an inch [1/2" on each side], sure it gets covered by the side bricks the damper is sticky the door seal leaks
A Good Wood Stove
Before purchasing this stove, I researched many makes & models of most manufacturers to best understand quality, design, functions, usage, ratings, price ranges, etc. Research is important to me. This Timberwolf is made by Napoleon Stoves out of Canada. It is a lower quality stove compared to Napoleon stoves in the sense that it does not have any 'bells & whistles' and that some of the inner components are made of different material. However, the core design is the same as the higher end stoves. (I spoke with a company engineer to get his perspective. He was very helpful.) As stated in the paperwork, it takes 4-6 fires to season the stove as there is condensation in both the bricks and stove. But after the season period, it produces great heat as desired. In my opinion, there is no reason to pay tons of money in a stove unless people want aesthetically appealing 'extra features'. Note, the pipes needed, hearth & installation will cost about the same as this stove, so plan accordingly. Other than the hearth that I built myself, I purchased all the pipes from Woodland Direct and received great customer support as well as 10% off the total price.
not sure it will work
I was able to use stove once or twice and both times had to leave the door loose in order to burn, when closing door tight, you could see the flame just die out from lack of air, not sure these dampers systems are really any good, did take cover off, cause it sit right on top of door
The Wood fire Stove cost was less then $1000 but to install with the correct duck work is over $2500 by a professional and none of the bucking was apart of the kit. This is not and easy install and was very disappointed. I would warn everyone that they will be looking at three time the cost for a wood burning stove VERY NEGATIVE
First, we would like to greatly thank Amy and Taryn in customer service. They were both extremely personable, helpful and competent while readily addressing our wood stove problem. We had to have 4 stoves delivered before we could accept one due to the shipping damages that the stoves endured. After the 4th one arrived, it was the least damaged of them all with a couple scratches and broken glass in the door. Taryn sent a new door and paint and finally, we had our stove....now the remodeling begins. We are looking forward to installing this efficient stove. If I could have scored 10 on the customer service, I would have, and on the other hand, product packaging scores 1, the stoves need to be packaged better and strapped well on larger pallets, so forklifts can't slam into the stove sides (with the smaller pallets).
Wonderful product. We have only had installed for a month, but so far it has been wonderful and as advertised. The staff at Woodland Direct were excellent to work with and walked me through everything I would need for a proper installation.
