Handcrafted Fire Features for Your Outdoor Oasis
In the realm of outdoor living, few brands have achieved the level of recognition and respect that The Outdoor Plus (TOP) commands.
Based in California, this American manufacturer specializes in creating premium fire pits, fire tables, fire bowls, and water features.
Each piece is meticulously crafted in the USA using only the highest-quality outdoor materials, such as glass-fiber reinforced concrete COR-TEN® Steel, ensuring durability and attention to detail.
TOP prides itself on its design philosophy, which emphasizes modern aesthetics, durability, and functionality. Drawing inspiration from California's natural landscapes, their products reflect a blend of contemporary design with timeless appeal.
What is COR-TEN® Steel?
Some of TOP’s products are made of COR-TEN® Steel, a trademarked name used to generalize Weathered Steel. It’s a high-strength material with superior weather resistance used in architectural and sculptural works. COR-TEN® Steel eliminates the need for painting and offers rust protection.
Each COR-TEN® Steel product from TOP has an aged, patina look. They continue to patina over time into a darker, mocha-colored metal, instead of bright yellow-orange.

FAQs
Fire pit media is essential for all gas fire pits because it helps create a natural flame appearance. If you use a gas fire pit without media, the flames will concentrate in certain areas. Media also hides your burner for a more streamlined look.
There’s a variety of fire pit media available, including colorful fire glass, traditional lava rocks, and rustic gas log sets. The best option depends on what you want you fire pit to look like and whether it’s approved in your owner’s manual.
While covers are not required, we strongly recommend purchasing a weather-resistant cover for your fire pit when you’re not using it.
You can find a cover for just the burner, too. In either case, it’s a great investment to protect your fire pit and its components, ensuring it lasts for as long as possible.
On average, a standard 20-lb. Propane tank can last approximately 10 hours, with your gas fire pit on the highest flame setting.
Even with DIY experience, it’s always best to hire a licensed gas professional to install your gas fire pit – especially if it needs to be hooked up to a natural gas line.
A trained pro will be able to tell you exactly what parts you need and get them installed correctly. They can also let you know if you need any permits prior to installation.
